While at the Canon Expo 2010, I was able to take a few shots with a pre-production Canon 400mm f/2.8 L IS II on a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV. (I was not allowed to test this lens on my Canon 7D.) All images were hand-held.

Related Articles on Canon Expo 2010: When you start talking about HD Video, eventually someone brings up RED. Well, Canon is showing a working proof of concept camera that is their response to RED. Actually, it is a double barrel response - a 4K Camera/Camcorder with a compact 24-480mm lens and a 8K camera/camcorder with video at 8192×4320 UHDTV next-gen imaging. I have walked around the Canon Expo for a few hours now. Canon has several pavilions dedicated to the different Canon lines. Of course, I am interested in the cameras, camcorders and printers. Canon had all of the new products on display including the new lenses (8-15mm f/4 L, 70-300mm f/d-5.6 L, 300mm f/2.8 L [...] When I first heard about the Canon Expo 2010, I assumed that it was to promote their business products. Thankfully, I was wrong. All of the Canon lines will be fully presented including Canon Professional Photography, Video, Imaging and Printing Products. Even Canon Consumer Products will be on display. Just imagine … the Javits Covention [...] |
